Follow your sibling.
[All five very young goslings are walking in a line along the edge of the grass.]

They both had an itch at the same time in the same place.
[One adult goose and one gosling both have their heads bent to their chest as if their beaks are scratching their chests.]

The goslings could easily cross under the fence to my side. White-Eyebrows stayed close by his little while watching my every move.
[One adult goose is on the far side of the chain-link fence while the gosling walks a few steps ahead of it on the near side of the fence.]

The cute fuzzy ones.
[The five fuzzy goslings swim as a clump in the water.]

One gosling turned back hoping for more food. Rice cakes are yummy!
[The entire family swims in a row across the narrow width of the pond away from the camera. There's an adult at the front and the rear of the line. The last youngster is turned back looking at the camera.]

Three goslings and Dad have their heads cocked to one side while the other two and Mom look straight ahead. Must be synchronized swimming practice.
[The entire family swims mostly in a row. There's an adult at the front and the rear of the line. Don't know why they had their heads cocked.]

White-Eyebrows on the left, Momma on the right and the goslings in the middle. They're eating rice cake pieces I put out for them.
For the safety of the group, at least one adult stays on guard while others eat.
[Seven geese are lined up on the far side of the chain-linked fence. White-Eyebrows stares at the camera while the rest eat.]

A close view of the gosling's down as it morphs to its adult color.
[A gosling bending below the fence to get some of the rice cake bits. Its down is white and brown with the tips in the brown still beige.]

Goose down makes a wonderful pillow as this gosling will attest.
[A gosling floats on the water with its head tucked into into its back as it rests its beak on its chest as it sleeps. Its light-colored eyelid is clearly visible indicating its eyes are shut.]

Momma on the left and a gosling on the right.
[Both geese are standing in the grass. The gosling is now quite chunky (big chest and butt) and its colors are dark brown and white (not yet black).]

White-Eyebrows on the top, Momma on the bottom and the goslings between them. Parents protect the flanks.
[The entire family is in the water and some of the goslings (which look like adult geese) are eating near the edge of the pond.]

Hard to tell the goslings from the adults in this photo, but the goslings have yet to take their first flights.
[The entire family walks through high grass (up to their bellies) in search of food.]
