This is apparently a restful position for an anhinga as her eyes are almost closed.
It looks as though her wing might be hurt but she had no problems flying away.
[Anhinga is on the grass with her head tucked against her back. Her wings are at her sides and the one facing the camera looks like it's lying on the groud at an odd angle. The wing covers her beak completely and only one closed eye is visible.]

This is the same anhinga from the prior photo. Don't know if she speared a fish that had this wire inside of it or what happened.
The wire is wedged only in the bottom half of her bill so she is able to open her mouth to eat.

She's nearly camo in this pose.
[With her head close to her body, only the light color of her beak is clearly visible against the backdrop of the leaves as this anhinga perches in a tree.]

Looks as if she's wearing a turtle-neck sweater here. Can see her webbed feet wrapped around the branch.

This gal was quite vocal that day in July 2015.

[Same bird but now she is leaning forward and has her wings partially up as if she's getting ready to go airborne.]

She moved across the pond to a tree on the other side.
[Same bird with her mouth open in a pine tree. This view is frome the back and the white feathers on her wings are visible and the whiteness seems to continue up to her head as the greyness of neck is also visible.]
