This is the first of three page pages containing sunsets near the extended-stay hotel I frequented in Jacksonville, Florida. The images are sequenced by the colors contained in the sky.

The sun is setting below the trees in the distance on October 21, 2015.
[The sky is still light blue, but the clouds are pink with some parts grey as the sun sets. The light sky hightlights the outline of the large leafy tree on the right and the top fence rail of the wire-frame fence.]

The view across the pond the evening of February 8, 2014
[Most of this image is sky and only a very small section in the middle is light blue. All around it are pink-tinged purple clouds above the silhouettes of the pine trees and the horizon.]

The tree view at the end of the parking lot on June 3, 2014
[Another silhouette of the trees against the sky which is now pink and blue and yellow. Several flood lights in the parking lot are also visible.]

Interesting pattern in the sky the evening of February 26, 2015
[Two photos stitched together showing swatches of pink in a blue sky as if someone with a pink paint brush had spread it across part of the sky near one section of the horizon (building and tree tops), but had not yet covered the entire sky. The rest of the sky is shades of blue and is darker where the clouds are.]

December 28, 2014
[Very vivid pinky-oranges and purple-greys in the sky above the trees and buildings. The pinky-orange is in the sky right at the tree line.]

April 19, 2015
[A yellow-orange sky backlights the treeline and shows through it. Above that is a patch of blue sky and above the blue is pink-bottomed dark blue clouds reaching to the top of the image. In the middle is a parking lot light stand with four lights which reach into the dark blue section of the sky so the lights are very visible in the image.]

October 18, 2015
[Behind the palm trees in the foreground are dusky pink-orange clouds as well as a couple of dark purple ones at the top of the image.]

April 19, 2015
[Above the palm trees and building is a bright white patch which has lit the undersides of the clouds a yellow and pink. Above the lowest level are pink and purple clouds. The blue sky is above that row of clouds.]

July 1, 2016
[The section of the sky where the sun has a ceiling of clouds above the horizon such that there is a section of blue between the land and the clouds above. The undersides of the clouds are painted a vivid orange while the clouds above it are a dark grey-blue. Light poles looking near-black are a tall striking contrast to the color in the sky.]

The sun sneaks through an opening in the clouds to light the sky on August 19, 2016.
[The sky is nearly full of clouds and the ones closest to the horizon are red-orange. There is an irregular-shaped opening above the light poles which is light blue and there is some light from the sun which created yellow-topped clouds. Most of the rest of the clouds in the sky range from blue-gray to light purple. The palm trees and bushes in the foreground are outlines of dark color. The lights on the poles are lit providing white ovals against the purple clouds.]

The setting sun reflecting in the water on November 3, 2016.
[The treeline on the left and the trees on the right are dark leaving an inverted triangle of blue in the center. The blue is peppered with leaves from one tree and has swathes of white clouds. At the bottom tip of the triangle is a bright orange patch of sky. The orange and some blue are reflected in water that is under the tree.]
