The first three images are a time sequence of the setting sun on August 5, 2014.

As the Earth rotates the sun seems to move.
[The white-yellow orb is now just touching the horizon.]

And then move again.
[Only the top third of the white-yellow orb is now visible above the horizon. The color of the sky has changed to a purplish-red.]

September 26, 2014
[Two-thirds of the yellow-orange orb sits above the flat, dark horizon. The clouds in the immediate background of are shades of orange. The clouds above those are dark blue. There is a section in the top which is open to the west and thus those clouds are still white as they are lit by the sun in the distance.]

August 21, 2014 just after a storm (There's a hole in the clouds leading to blue sky.)
[A huge, dark, thick cloud covers the sky above the homes. There is a colorful swatch of yellow-orange which outlines the top of the buildings and one clear plastic basketball backboard. There is a hole in the cloud cover and through it one can see light blue skies with white clouds which must be at a distance beyond the storm.]

August 24, 2014 after a storm
[Several images stitched together with the land as only a dark sliver at the bottom. The sky is a myriad of distinct colors with the topmost part being a dark purple mass of rainclouds. Under it are splotches of yellow, orange, light blue, and lilac. ]

[A huge thundercloud is a dark splotch against a light-blue background. Rain streams down from the cloud to the ground. In the background of the rainstream and in sections where rain is not falling is a yellow-orange color produced by the sun setting in the distance.]
